But the bad kind of these episodes are when Squidward isn't doing anything too bad and bad things happen to him anyway. Now, that's not to say all of these kinds of episodes are bad, they can work when either Squidward brings it on himself or does something malicious to warrant it.
It's basically when SpongeBob and the other characters decide to use Squidward as a punching bag. Some people are confused as to what a "Squidward Torture" episode constitutes.
